It's because the Parents didn't expect anything from the backbencher son and probably worrying that he will fail . so when he passed they were so Happy . But with toppers , there is always expectations that the student will do top , get good rank etc etc . so when they get 85% , 95% marks , there is always " you could've done more " π’ I just wish everyone could get the support they need . not underestimate but also no too much pressure . I know underestimation can feel painful yet also pressure can sometimes break people
