this is done for import taxes... the more seats it has the less it costs to ship it because it moves people now if you took all the back seats out and it was a cargo van the tax would be more

Look at the 2007-2013 rear folding seat. It looked like folding metal chairs from the back while the front was kind of carpeted . Very unstable Edit : think of folding camping chair.

lolllll I literally own an Outlander with the 3rd row seat, that video is 100% misleading, you have more room than this.
