Chinese scientists and researchers are continuing their development of the country's new generational artificial sun, the HL-3, located in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The HL-3 is a tokamak, or an experimental machine that harnesses nuclear fusion to create clean energy, and breakthroughs have been made recently regarding its so-called "first wall". This describes the part of the tokamak that directly faces the extreme high temperatures and particle bombardment. China has independently launched R&D and manufacturing efforts on first wall development including welding techniques and high heat flux testing, which have all reached international standards. The next phases of development include a full upgrade to the HL-3 with an aim of achieving its first burning plasma experiment by 2027. It won't work. Fusion power can only work as a star. Here why: vacuum in space no heat exchange possible, hot fuel and zero input. The power plant wasted energy to control the plasma, the sun uses gravity which is for free. How would you feed your powerplant with fuel? It's always cold. You'd also have to constantly heat it which is also an energy loss. The sun doesn't have any of these problems. The gravity simply pulls the different elements together and they react. This is how the sun actually works. What these scientists are trying to build is a perpetual motion device. Because they ignore physics. Don't you see it that it would be too easy if it worked like that? You could take anything anywhere and have power?😂 Unfortunately all I can say is that this is a hopeless project. They might find something else useful in the process but it won't be a fusion powerplant.
