Spaghetti has no tomato in it atleast in the Philippines... Im not sure in the US if they change things up for the taste buds of americans but it should be filipino style sauce that is sweet and red not because of tomato but because of banana ketchup.. i heard the comment oily? The spaghetti is not supposed to be oily but maybe wet due to the pasta sitting for a long time.. Most Filipinos are used to this taste of sweet spaghetti so its weird for us to have the traditional savory Italian spaghetti.. Also, banana ketchup became a thing here in the Philippines when there was tomato shortage during ww2 and became a staple sauce to most filipino cuisine which includes filipino spaghetti.. Maria Orosa is the Filipino food scientist who invented banana ketchup..
