Some of Washington state's biggest employers have cut thousands of Puget Sound-area jobs since the start of the year, including Seattle-based Amazon, Factoria-based T-Mobile, and Seattle-based Starbucks. So, what should we all be doing to prepare for that heartbreaking reality that's facing so many workers right now? Adam Powell, a financial advisor with the Private Security Group, joined ARC Seattle co-anchors Steve McCarron and Tyrah Majors to chat about how we can protect ourselves financially during these uncertain times, the first financial move someone should make if they get laid off from their job, and where you should keep your emergency fund right now. -------------------------------------------------- For more on the story: https://komonews.com/news/arc-seattle/laid-off-from-your-job-expert-reveals-the-first-financial-move-you-should-make _______________ Stay up to date with our social media: https://www.facebook.com/KOMONews/ https://twitter.com/komonews http://instagram.com/komo4 https://www.tiktok.com/@komo4seattle Download our iOS App: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/komo-news-mobile/id433508161?mt=8 Download our Android App: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.newssynergy.komo&hl=en Have a news tip? Can't wait for AI to take over local news anchors.
Finding a job is easier if you dont select "white" "straight" or "male" on the application
Try two years dude.
Hold on to your jobs, job hopping is canceled.
Basically you're fu cked. Most job postings and interviews are fake. Nobody actually gets hired after you get rejected. Even news people better watch out with companies using AI to cut every role.
