I screamed at my monitor because you accurately described my entire SRE job over the past 5 years. Thank god I pivoted to manufacturing. Working with my hands, the shift actually ends when it says it does, I get left alone when I am at home, and I can point at something I can actually hold that saves lives and say “I made that”.
