I left the tech industry a few years ago for the healthcare industry. And I was doing tech since 2003. Tired of the recession layoffs every 8-10 years. Too gatekeepers denying folks opportunities.

I don’t think that’s true. In fact more companies prefer to keep their older workers. If you think about it it doesn’t make sense to fire someone that worked 10+ years in your company. Then you hire a new employee and you have to spend 1-3 years getting very little profit off of them.
