Meta is once again facing scrutiny after another round of layoffs highlighted the harsh realities of the global tech industry slowdown. The job cuts reflect growing pressure on major technology companies to reduce costs, restructure operations and focus on AI-driven growth. Employees and analysts say the layoffs expose rising uncertainty in Silicon Valley despite strong investments in artificial intelligence and digital expansion. #meta #layoffs #wion About Channel: WION The World is One News examines global issues with in-depth analysis. Fire everyone including Suckerberg. Close down the company. Stop this social media narcissism.
Meta is failed project that’s why the layoffs
Companies that lay off workers in a country due to artificial intelligence should be banned from that country. Such companies should not be allowed to operate in that country without providing jobs. Companies that operate solely for the sake of making money and do not contribute any humane role should not be allowed to do business in that country.
AI is going to finish off a lot of these "tech" companies.
So when is the company gonna change the name since metaverse was a failure
Saying it with only this line "you no longer work here" is crazy, wth is that true?
For those impacted people, life goes on with or without Meta. Believe in yourself, It can only be better … Good luck!!
People have a choice of leaving, but it's like rats on a sinking ship....it may be harsh, but everyone should have an exit plan....
*Meta SUCKS* Meta's AI is so sucky that it could not even send a good quality layoff content in those 4AM pre-scheduled emails. There may be more layoffs (non-AI job roles) in other companies that may recruit this newly available batch of AI talent from Meta. The industry in US is simply re-adjusting to new job roles. Watch the unemployment rate and net-change in big-tech employee-base to understand if laid off people are getting new jobs and after how long of job-search effort. New AI-centric roles are very hard to get into even for those who are very talented but not so much in new AI skills. AI-centric up-skilling is the only option for those who want to continue in the big-tech industry while investing into other sources of secondary income and participating in community activities for mental and physical health during this crisis (perhaps a new normal since AI is not going away anytime soon).
Meta platforms are nothing more than a public nuisance in the U.S, and the U.S needs to ban facebook just the same way other countries like Uganda, Russia, China, Iran and North Korea has banned facebook. Before 2004, the world was so much better without facebook.
Facebook is a poison here in the U.S, and it needs to be banned and shutdown. When facebook ever does go out of business and shuts down, the U.S will be throwing a huge celebration.
