This is not how the tenure process works, if you're curious. I'm a tenured, full Professor. 99.9% of the process is reading the applicant's materials, publication record, teaching scores, work on committees, etc. It's virtually all in writing. It's a peer-review process, not an interview.

If we mess up these last few games, I can see a lot of people turn on Carrick.

I once was on an interview panel for a guy that did a milder version of this. He was constantly trying to hold the frame. He was hired over my protests and he ended up being a complete disaster.
