I hated group projects. The fact that at least one letter grade in the semester is based on somebody else's ability, or lack thereof, to help.

I don’t know a single college student who wouldn’t take Mary up on her offer and be happy about it like truly like a kid that Youngs in your class you know he’s gonna be a dick to handle but a home cooked meal and laundry yes please and I get to work on a project in a loving homeinstead of a dorm or a library

The only time I ever agreed to group projects was when my friends were involved, and a lot of the time we actually got stuff done.

I hate group projects. Like I know they don't get the job done, the play a lot and act childish, or don't help at all.

People constantly complain that school and college doesn’t prepare you for the real world, then complain about group projects more than anything else. 99% of time you will have incompetent colleagues, idiots around you, unfriendly lazy people etc. Sometimes you might be the dumb one. Learning to navigate these situations as a child and young adult is super important. So yeah I get the group projects are annoying but they’re definitely necessary

Group projects should probably be done more often and earlier on. I need more adults learning how to collaborate with people they’re not friends with. Instead of having to play peace maker all day.

For me it was always: You guys talk, I do the work, only talked when they couldn't understand. On one hand I hate to trust others getting the work done, on the other hand I'm chaotic order I hate working on others deadlines, I'm not reliable for others.

Reading these comments, I feel so differently about group projects. I loved most of the ones I did, mainly because I'm a socially awkward nerd and this forced me to make friends. Most of my university friends were made during group projects. Also it prepped me for the real world, as my field I constantly have to collaborate and work around the schedules of others.

It feels like everyone in the comments is missing the point of the group project just as much as the three in the clip did. If the point was just getting the project done, the teacher would have let them do it separately if they wanted. They were supposed to learn how to work together. Which all three of them obviously needed to learn.

I feel sheldon i also hate group protects if i dont know the people although ive gotten over most of the problems that comes with them. If i can work alone i usually pick that option because I have trust issues when it comes to people i dont know but with friends i can work with i trust them

honestly the most realistic take on group projects is this: If your group decides they do not care and will not help you? then group projects are the fricking worst If your group does the work but singles you out and berates you by not letting you help and the teacher(s) do not care. It is even worse yet If your group decides to actually care and wants to help you out and do the work WITH you and not FOR you than group projects are actually easier but good for you If your group just caters to you and does it all FOR you. Then you learn nothing and get carried the whole time and it sucks. It honestly just overall depends on who you get partnered with and how you decide to react. If you have a bad group and/or bad reaction then its goona suck. But otherwise it is amazing and will actually help you out alot!
