Unfortunately, many people don't realize that the main reason Alcaraz was so dominant in this tournament was because he got a buzz cut and became aerodynamically superior to Sinner. Now, Sinner needs to shave his head to match Alcaraz. That's the only way back for Sinner

As a Spaniard I feel blessed to have two fellow countrymen marking two golden eras of tennis. Carlitos didn't leave us time to grieve the end of Rafa's career. It's like winning the lottery twice and I couldn't love their sportmanship, humility and grace more. They truly inspire the whole nation to strive to be better. Carlitos has a distinctive playfulness that makes you smile and celebrate his achievements as your own. In reality such athletes belong to no one country but to all of humanity ❤

Carlos Alcaraz truly raised his level this tournament! It was obvious from the get-go that he meant business. He showed it against Djokovic and even more so today. His game has always been a pleasure for the eyes, but personally I love that he put the crowd-pleasing / showboating game second and we finally got to see what the full version of Alcaraz can produce!! And man, it was amazing. Well deserved victory, no question about it 👏👏👏

Probably the best tournament Alcaraz has played in his life.. at Wimbledon he struggled from the start with that 5-setter against Fognini. Here he has been solid and focused. Meanwhile Sinner struggled just a little bit more than usual and that was enough. However, those who say Sinner played badly just need to widen their perspective. He wasn’t at his A-game but who else in the world would have even taken a set off Sinner today? Or win for that matter which I don’t think anyone would have done. A few % off is enough between these two for the other one to take advantage. Reverse roles from Wimbledon and it doesn’t mean that the loser played badly.
Alcaraz has the variety and power to hit through sinner. Other players engage in linear hitting. Alcaraz can outhit him but disrupt his ryth with spin, variety. But today he destroyed sinner at baseline❤
