Maria will always be the reason why I fell in love with tennis.
I'm back after 18 years. In fact, when I saw the video, I felt like I was going back in time. Here, Maria had won her first Grand Slam at just 17 years old. An incredible talent. Serena was then 23 years old. 6 years the difference was between the two then. I miss seeing Maria on the field playing. She will always be in the history of tennis!

One of my favourite Wimbledon women's matches. Simply legendary. I wonder if Sharapova would ever be tempted enough to come back from retirement for another Grand Slam title.
1) Maria did not seem to scream at every shot back then. 2) her OCD routines is a bit painful to watch 3) she was an epitome of determination in this match
The way Maria played is the only way to humiliate Serena. I’ve seen Serena lose, but this loss goes down in history. Sharapova played so freaking well. It’s insane.
