The search for a true 1C heats up as names like Robert Thomas, Evgeni Malkin, and Auston Matthews surface, while questions swirl around Filip Gustavsson’s injury. The discussion also zeroes in on the Wild’s defensive core—will adding size and speed on the blue line finally push them past division rivals Dallas Stars and Colorado Avalanche? Don’t miss this comprehensive look at Minnesota Wild’s most critical offseason moves and what it will take to contend for a Stanley Cup. Not resigned: Tarasenko, Nick Foligno, Johansson, Fabbri, Petry Johansson is a 3rd line wing at very best. We need to make it impossible for Hynes to put him back on the 2nd line for an entire season. Ugh! Available to be included in a trade: Marcus Foligno, Harman, Trenin, Brodin, Spurgeon, Middleton A couple of these guys have 15 team trade protection, but all are reasonably priced and could have appeal to the right team. Two good defensemen including the team captain could have appeal to someone. Brodin is hurt a lot but effective. Spurgeon is undersized but OK at the 2nd pair role. Wild cannot afford to spend $13.5M on the 2nd pair. Trade chip: Gustavsson - yes, he'll be coming back from injury but a #1 goalie at less than $6.8M AAV is actually attractive. He'd have to wave his trade protection though. But if he knew he was going to be a #2 or at least the 1B for the next couple years, would he be open to it? Untouchable: Kaprizov, Boldy, Ek, Hughes, Faber, Wallstedt thoughts?
Good morning all .
They should bring back Tarasenko and play him more imagine if he wasn t hurt in the playoffs what he would of done in the series
Why is Alex always calling in on a CB radio?
Seth you hit the nail on the head with the Hughes Brothers. I can see Jack going over to Quinn and Luke will follow. Quinn and Jack are chasing the Stanley Cup so I can see Jack going over to Minnesota first and luke will follow. MINNESOTA they then create a third line of DF with Luke to head and by that time his contract comes around Luke will have had enough DF experience and game to go over to Minnesota as well and all 3 Brothers will be playing together
Good Morning Seth, Alex, and the LOW faithful.....
2026 WILD Brain wipe... COMPLETE... PRESS ENTER TO DELETE PERMANENTLY...
Whoa gonna be the MN Wilds version of the MN Twins 1991 Jack Morris, Its open to anyone who wants it Crosby , Muelkin, Mathews ?
Hilarious so much concentration is put on Hughes. You think one man makes or breaks a team is the most ignorant thing in the universe. No wounder the Wild lost to the Avalanche 😂😂😂. FYI the only thing "Wild" about Minnesota is the fraud!😂😂😂
Afternoon folks. Window's still open, let's go Billy G.
it better not be Malkin. Thompson or Thomas, mark my words
Michkov from Philly?
Ok I’m new to hockey and Quinn Hughes is my fav. So the wilds is my top fav team. That being said I have a question about Quinn and Luke Hughes both have the same jersey number. If they were to hypothetically ever be on the same team wouldn’t one of them have to change their jersey number. But I do like the idea of jack Hughes jumping ship to Minnesota wilds when he is a free agent if the wilds gets a cup in the next three years.
I think Guerin is going to pull off a trade to fill the center need. But it might cost more than Wild Fans are willing to pay to get a top line center since everyone knows they need one.
Good Morning Seth 🤝
Evgeny Kuznetsov. Wants to make an nhl return. Still youngish. UFA, Proven elite, winning player, especially in playoffs. great hands, great iq, great on pk. And would be a steal of a contract for an elite player
Wild do have a 3rd round pick according to puckpedia
Really blew the kuzy trade
This team has never had a proper center in 25 years and it's killing us! Praise and suter big time screwed us! I want big change! Ek a great number 2 def not a number one! Use him to get a top center! Not a old close to retirement center I want a center that is 56 plus percent and has play calling ability
