Last season's transfer window was retrospectively awful. Our squad is fragile, and with the departures of Salah, Robertson and potentially Konate incredibly empty. The long term injury to Ekitike is also a massive worry. Goalkeepers we are fine. Allisson, Mammardashvilli and Woodman are good options. Frimpong isn't a right back and Bradley is unfortunately injury prone. Center back, Van Dijk is a year older, Konate could leave on a free, Gomez is made of rich tea biscuits, Leoni had a major injury and Jaquet has been injured for months. Left back, Robertson is leaving; Kerkez is fine. Midfield, Curtis Jones may leave, Maccalister has been woeful, Gravenberch looks tired, Szobozlai has been one of very few players who have been decent. But still, not amazing. Right wing, Salah is going, Frimpong is also not a winger. Chiesa has not been given a chance and will probably leave. Similar issues on the left... Gakpo is a one trick donkey. Ngumoha is the other bright spark but still a kid. Wirtz at the 10 position. Who else? Two strikers, Isak and Ekitike. One of whom was injured all season, and the other will continue to be injured until December. The squad has many issues. Whether we have Slot or a new manager, we need a big summer to compete. At right back, Bradley and Frimpong might be fine, dependent on system. Perhaps sign a versatile player to cover that role. If Jones leaves (I would sign him to a long term contract) sign Archie Gray. Another option would be Leesharel Geertruda. Center back, we will need a left footed center back. Van de Ven, Bastoni or Schlotterbeck would be perfect. A player of that ilk could also help cover left back. We may need one more if Konate does not sign a deal. For left back, just bring back Tsimikas and use Gomez plus a left sided defender as coverage. Midfield, we need a player with bite. Baleba and Anderson were mentioned. If we cannot sign those, Hjulmand from Sporting could suffice. Right Wing, Diomande would be great, but extremely expensive. Bowen if West Ham go down but only a temporary fix. We could do with both to be honest. Left wing, Anthony Gordon for me is the one. He is rapid, good on the press and can cover up front if absolutely necessary. Striker we need one more, just for coverage. Issue with that, it would cost half a billion pound. That won't happen. We are a selling club and therefore fucked.

I’m pretty sure Nico Schlotterbeck just signed a contract extension. I get the Wharton idea, I feel it’s hard to rate how he would do at Liverpool because the palace system is so different. He’s obviously a super player but for the amount of money palace will be asking for plus they might win the conference and qualify for the Europa which would up his price tag, I would want to be certain he ticks all the boxes

Diomande's likely to be £80m+ and he's under contract until 2030. Barcola's out of favour at PSG, but still plays a lot of minutes. They'd want at least £65m. Spurs look like they're going to stay up now and I imagine they'd want at least £40m for Porro. Wharton's going to be £80m+ because of English tax. van Hecke's going to be of interest to multiple clubs and would probably be £40m+. If Frimpong gets sold, he'd probably only raise £30-35m. Mac Allister has been terrible this season and probably goes for £60m at best (but who realistically buys him?).
