The new KV-8 flamethrower heavy tank is definitely one of their stranger tanks in War Thunder. Due to its insane armor and lackluster cannon, it's a bully in downtiers but kind of a punching bag in uptiers. The damage model also has some weird quirks. Play the LVT (A) (4) (Zis 2). No armor, open top, limited gun traverse/depression angles, and slow but has a 57mm.

3:07 my personal conspiracy theory is that they turned transmissions into coughing babies after they made it so that tanks with shot-out engines can just keep on rolling, as a sort of band-aid way to make tanks do that less often (since tanks with broken transmissions dont do that). I have no way to prove this and I will not be taking any more questions, thank you.

I love how it's a flamethrower, which uses machinegun bullet physics, and reloads on the cap with a rocket/missile icon. Gaijin really just didn't do any more work than was absolutely necessary to get it functional. They couldn't even be bothered to add a fire icon for reloaded it.

I still think it's insane that they added flamethrowers but didn't simulate any of the effects of flames on armoured vehicles. One of the most common ways of taking out tanks without sophisticated AT at the time was using flame weapons like molotovs, because they would choke the engine out, and sustained fire would blind and choke out the crew.
