The impact is irrelevant, it's the intention
"The impact is minimal" So... Why spy then? 😂
They`ve admitted to previously spying on games they`ve lost, very convenient. Selective memory maybe?
People who keep saying the impact was minimal… WHY DO IT THEN
I guess if I rob Danny Murphys house and drop and smash the tv on the way out I shouldnt go to jail because i didnt benefit
We need to stop with this nonsense as if they only spied on games they lost. If they’re spying on Oxford in December and Ipswich in April do we really think they stopped in between?
As a neutral, watching this develop is absolutely hilarious 😂
They didn’t make a mistake. They actively cheated, multiple times. How’s that a mistake 😂
"Disproportionate"? It's blatant cheating. One of the few times I think the EFL have shown a back bone
They’ve admitted 3 as there probably was evidence to prove them, so the question is what’s the actual number that they spied on?
Only admitted to the ones they got caught not the ones they didn’t. Makes sense how they went on that unbeaten run now…..
ITS XMAS IN POMPEY 😂😂😂
If they didn't expel Southampton and instead gave a mickey mouse punishment, and they went on to win promotion to the premier league in a season filled with systemic cheating, what kind of message does that send out?
Why risk so much for something so 'minimal'?
Whats a 200k fine when you're going to a final worth 200 million 😂 this sets the standards, if you cheat, you're going to pay for it greatly.
Danny 'the reality is' Murphy
To anyone saying it's disproportionate.... Guess how they could have avoided that??? Don't spy.
They spied on Oxford, so they spied on everyone.
Southampton cheated to get to the playoffs, they cheated in the playoffs, they beat Middlesbrough on the pitch after cheating to gain an advantage on the pitch. OF COURSE this is the correct decision. Allowing them to play the play off final and get promoted would make a mockery of the integrity of the game.
Jordan missed the point, there was NO LAW to break when Leeds did it
