The fix is simple: don't let the item scan at all if it's not for sale. Calling the cops on someone for paying what your own register charged them is wild

I used to work at Champs, we would have items that dropped to a penny and we had the task to go and pull them to send them back to wherever they came from. It’s completely on the store if they didn’t do that😂
