You forgot the meatballs bro 😮
Bro just wanted an excuse to splurge at IKEA😂
Rare video of Arun outside his house
I work at Ikea, and there are some items Ikea makes a profit on, some they make none, BUT also some they make a loss. The idea is to make people come to a store for those great value items and exposing them to the rest of their product line-up at the same time, hoping they also buy some of the profitable items. Most people these days come only for the meatballs, though.
Fun fact: IKEA is Dutch-owned and operated as a not-for-profit business under Dutch legislation, therefore they pay less tax. They donate a large portion of their actual profits to charity and spend the majority of it back into their design and business, which helps to keep pricing low
He actually tested the remote 100 times just to check the success rate😂
the improvement on cinematic shots or the editing and sequences is truly chefs kiss
Ikea's ability to sell products at such low prices and profit margins is due to the fact that they are not publicly traded. People are taken advantage of through shareholding.
13:00 I was experiencing the same issues with Matter devices on both Google Home and Apple Home. Adding them to HomeAssistant ensured that they worked correctly every time. I know it's a cope and it's a self hosted thing but still...
IKEA should make their own tech - “IKEA Phone 1 Plus: put it together yourself!”
7:48 next video idea: buy 100 of those speakers, pair them, and test them
Nothing will beat the IKEA meatballs though...
The real reason ikea can sell stuff this cheap or with this low profit margins is because they aren’t publicly traded. It’s shareholding that screws over people.
Holy notification pull
5:08 you'd be surprised how dirt cheap production actually is
14:53 "50% of the time it works every time"
13:00 I was having the same problems with Matter devices on Apple Home and Google Home. They were guaranteed to function properly each and every time when they were added to HomeAssistant. I am aware that it is self-hosted and a coping mechanism, but still...
We've been using IKEA stuff in a bar I work at and it has been great, the stuff tends to get broken by guests all the time anyway so it's nice to have something that is easy to source, easy to install and easy on the wallet. No need to wire up some sort of a professional dimmer system when I can just have the remote in a convenient place and maybe turn down the lights as the night goes on and then up again when I want people to start going home.
It's finally my time. This came out just as i sat down to eat dinner.
( 0:47 ) soon to be dad btw
