Bungie keeps making it easier and easier for me to not even consider ever touching another game of theirs again.

Being a destiny fan is like watching your old family home burns to the ground sure you don’t need it anymore and it’s old and decrepit but it’s still sad and it was fun so all you can do is crack open a drink and watch it burn
I don’t think Bungie can be a multi IP game studio if this is how they treat their other game. All the while trying to get more people on Marathon.

The way Bungie treats the Destiny community should be a red flag to the Marathon community for how they will treat them in the future
Does Bungie not realize that the more they continue to treat Destiny 2 and it's players poorly, the more people will abandon Marathon?
When they put in the TWID early June update I thought "Really? Like the mid-May info update? Or the state of the game article? Or the roadmap? It's bullshit until it isn't." If they do delay this update (50/50 personally) the fallout will be absolutely crazy. I still have the popcorn from Aldi ready to go. Two tubs. Big ones.

From a business perspective, Bungie didn't just screw the pooch, they screwed the entire pound. They made the classic mistake, shitting on the customers who made them big to attract people who wouldn't buy their product in the first place. This would the equivalent of me abandoning my commercial customers who pay me and instead trying to market my computer services to the Amish. There is nothing wrong with the Amish, they just don't want my services and any changes I try to make will still have zero results. In other words, don't bite the hand that feeds you.
It's like watching someone you love dying of an illness, and the doctors decide not to share whether it's in the terminal stage or if there's still hope no matter how small it is

In the beginning the entire D2 community told Bungie that they would be negative towards Marathon if they took resources away from D2 development. They should have seen this coming, they could have predicted that the majority of their players would be D2 players....js

That's wild but cant even say im surprised. The moment they announced marathon is getting updated in june too i knew it was a wrap. Crazy part is all this negative sentiment would've been avoided is at the first delay they said "hey we are sorry but with marathon releasing there is extra effort that needs to be made to ensure we place our best foot forward and as much as we'd like to announce our update will follow the schedule it can't but as things progress we will drop updates and teasers etc. Or ya know prior to Renegades destiny is going into maintence mode and updates will be sporadic if not purely sandbox."
Their metrics show majority of Marathon players played Destiny 2. They will not risk losing 70% of the Marathon population at launch of season 2. There will be no shadow and order update.
We should stop accepting the bare minimum
