I hope Bungie takes a page out of Digital Extreme’s playbook and puts the devs that want to work on a new title/Marathon on it. Keep the people with passion for Destiny. The people that read out ideas and want to incorporate them, not the folks who just come in for a check or the bare minimum. Those kind of individuals, especially when in charge: really hold the game back.
Well, in the TWID published on February 19, 2026 Bungie said they would "significantly scale back developer communication regarding future plans". I guess two games, Sony breathing down their neck, and everything else is too much for them.
After many weeks off it was great to hop in with clan mates and catch up. We played a few different things and unlocked some red borders....quite fun.
Mid May as in, between this year and next year. Expect an update in October - November
They really need to fix the new player experience I tried to get into it but couldn’t. I decided to go back to Destiny 1 because I never played past vanilla back in the day and the game is alive and thriving. It’s like the Diablo 2 of looter shooters and it’s great to see.
Not sure if this is a glitch or not, but as far as the Season Pass screen next to your rank it says 19 days till the next update, yet if you check your guardian rank progression, it says 61 days til season end.

Even at GDC, they had been under delivering for a while now. They've slowly reduced content they add to expansion ever since 2019.
They need to take a page out of Pearl Abyss playbook in regards to community engagement. Bungie seem determined to make everybody play the game the way they want us to and resist suggestions. Pearl Abyss not only welcome community ideas but actually input them. They even made a really cool bug apart of the game with a new animation.
i feel like bungie atleast could tell us why we should care about the big update since atm we don't know anything or if anything that was said about the update is still going to happend or if the story is the same..

I think ur right about the whole timer thing in the store. I logged into d1 on friday and saw the trials of Osiris notif banner pop up even tho trials hasnt existed in d1 for years
