I coached little league and umped 15u for a while. Ive seen 2 kids break their legs on these. I absolutely hate turf.

They got this stuff out now it's brand new. It's called dirt and grass! Try it.

I haven't personally looked at the pros and cons for turf infields, but one of my fave things to do playing ball, was getting dirty. Especially growing up.

As an umpire, I would call timeout and rule the runner safe as soon as that carpet dislodged. I'd also discontinue the game until the dangerous field issues can be remedied.
