That last game of high school, when you know you aren't going to play anymore, hits like a freight train. We lost in regionals my senior year, and after the game we did our usual run to the foul pole and back, and i broke down when i touched that foul pole. I knew I'd never play competitive baseball ever again. Whoever said there's no crying in baseball, didn't love the game
