Sadly as someone who lives In the USA my sister runs late / doesn't show up to school since she has extremely bad chronic migraines for up to a week at a time and she still gets in trouble for being late / not being able to show up even when she has doctors notes which to me is insane

Arriving late to school as American millennials & older were traumatic experiences like the British experiences. Wish we had it easy going like the future generations. American guard part was accurate. Might as well have fun while being late.

No it’s not true for America… my “friend” before she left the same year she came ( she doesn’t like our principal) it was this school year it happened but anyways, she was late to school so many times that our principal came to her house w our bus driver and yelled threatening to call the cops ( she was js leaving her house) and she was late like 20 times so ye but 10 is the limit😅

Yeah, no. This is bullocks. As an American, My high school even as a senior in my last two weeks of school tried to get me in trouble for being late, you know where we were past the point that the marks were pretty much set in stone and the last two weeks was just wasting time and not having any meaningful learning.
