It's nice to see you guys still take Ian out of the storage closet to get his yearly dose of fresh air.
It's not strange for a cake business to use box mix, plenty do! Most are just more transparent about it. If she's not overcharging for what the cakes are, then that's fine, but if she's advertising them as “from scratch” then that's a bit shady. It sounds like she's letting everyone believe it's from scratch, which isn't great, but not the worst thing ever
Side note on the second story, not only was his wife a paramedic, but a paramedic during 2022. In the midst of covid, poor lady was probably already really stressed out.
Simultaneously trying to win sympathy and calling someone 'The Fridge' is INSANE work 😭😭
Plot twist. The guy who couldn't get past the fridge is the same guy that approached the 18 year old Applebee's birthday girl
She's a paramedic, they have a three year old, he quit his job and now money is tight But hey he's never been less stressed Wonder why.
quitting your job to do twitch is this era's version of quitting your job to "be a rockstar". you can be in a band and have a job but until you hit a certain level of career (not even mainstream success, just constant bookings), you can't quit your job
Pancakes: out Mattress: baguette Wheat: beaten
Nothing crazy ever happens when Ian is on here *remembers the butter story*
Traditional wedding cake does have almond flavoring. Also most bakeries use a boxed mix and doctor it up.
emily sounded so betrayed finding out Ian beat his wheat intolerance
fun fact! Red velvet cake isnt just chocolate with red food coloring! It gets its signature taste from a combination of buttermilk and white vinegar. the red coloring was originally from a chemical reaction between the acidic ingredients and natural cocoa powder. With cocoa powder being neutralized, people now rely on food coloring to give it that bright red color. Long story short, red velvet is a kind of chocolate cake but it still has its own unique flavoring that you wouldnt get if you were to just make a chocolate cake with red food coloring:) thank you for reading my ramble - a fellow red velvet cake lover
The Twitch one is so bad but I wanna add another layer: Paramedic is a physically demanding job. She’s lifting people, often in high stress situations, and lord knows if her patient isn’t gonna try to attack her. Not to mention a lot, if not most, paramedics are also firemen so that’s another layer of physical demand and danger. WTF are they gonna do if she gets injured or worse?
“let’s call her fridge” jesus christ bro 😭
The guy in the second story literally quit his job to play video games. "I've never been so stress free" yes, because you quit your job to screw around all day with basically no chance of making a real amount of money and offloaded the financial stress onto your wife. Since he said he is pretending to network "while wife and child are home" that means his wife is also doing most of the childrearing as well.
Ian and Amanda together… this is about to be so chaotic omg
i love the concept of responding to "what's something that would ruin your life if it came out" with sharing that thing that could ruin your life
they talked about the cake story for an unreal amount of time 😂
About the pricing on the cakes in the first story, something people don’t understand is you aren’t necessarily paying for the physical cake; you’re paying for the *days* of manual labour being poured into it. The ingredients are part of the cost yes, but 80% of it comes from the hourly salary. You can actually buy “fake” wedding cakes that are just decorated styrofoam.
The way Shane said “FOR THEIR TRES LECHES?!” got me so much I played it again
