"Love is about being invested in someone's continual expansion." I am in love with this sentence.
Throughout being on YouTube for the last 15 years I have never commented on a YouTube video, ever. Recently started dating again after a 5 year relationship and came across your channel, and my oh my is your content relatable from a guy perspective. I resonate so hard with your videos such as "The mindset that changed my life, "Im too self aware and its ruining my life", "how to be alone and not lonely". Please continue being your authentic self because it truly inspires me to be the same
"We’ve mastered communication, yet forgotten how to understand"
"A person can't be contained in your ideas about them" I want this sentence tattooed on me.
Love yourself first, then find someone you can truly be yourself around, and from that foundation, love will naturally grow.
Good heavens 😳 What insect can suck it 🙈🙈👀
I’ll summarize this video lesson in this sentence: allow life to unfold, with no expectations, no outcomes in mind, just BE.
I have never loved or been loved romantically—only felt a sense of longing—and I’ve never thought about love too deeply. But I’m glad I had the opportunity to watch this video. It’s made me want to put more thought and effort into love, and hopefully finding it. Thank you.
Love is finding someone so that you can become yourself with forever.
This actually might’ve been the best relationship advice ever
beautiful video. Next time someone asks me "what's your type?" I'm going to respond, "IDK. Describe an interaction you once had with a squirrel."
It's not a lindsiann video without the b-roll of her seasoning those vegetables lol
"Not two finished people find their match, but two unfinished People Making Each Other." I love this quote. I was trying to put that exact thing into words just a couple days ago. Enduring romantic love comes from the unflinching perseverance in finding and visiting all the new facets of each other.
this is one of the best videos you have ever uploaded fr.
everything is so well said!!! i think we all are stuck with "what may others think" or "maybe the others are right"... i think we all should stop looking for answers from others and live & make decisions for ourselves!! cuz at the end its *OUR* life. love ur content!!🍀
I appreciate that you said what I consider to be missing in modern dating advice. Which is, people; man or woman, should not be"playing it cool," when a person comes along who is compatible with them. Love is not a competition but a goal.
4:43 i tried this. i agree it’s the right way to go about it, but it’s hard being rejected all the time. guys feel like you’re moving too fast talking abt the “deep stuff” the real stuff… i feel like people want surface level connection more than genuine conversation these days. i’ve been shut down several times after expressing interest in having more meaningful conversations to get to know someone… no one wants to be real
The part about love becoming a set of instructions hit somewhere uncomfortable because i've been doing exactly that, building a checklist and calling it standards, and the whole time thinking i was being intentional when really i was just managing distance. you don't want a real person. you want a version of someone that doesn't surprise you. and the terrifying part is that once you see it, every past relationship starts to look less like bad timing and more like a controlled environment you designed so nothing could actually reach you. it's not clarity anymore, at least not the comfortable kind.
7:15 This really hit me. "We spend the first six months collecting data and then we stop collecting"..but thats not intimacy but we managing our ideas of them.
Lindsi - you have an amazing talent- differentiated not to be different - insightful without opinion - thank you for sharing- true art!!!!
