This reminds me of the love potion (Harry Potter book) Merope gives to Tom Riddle Sr. and makes him “love” her .. with the witchcraft angle…this movie seems like a masterpiece and I can’t wait to watch it.

I don’t think Nikki loved him in a romantic way while she was under the curse. she literally said “i’ve never been with you bear” after he selfishly asked if her love was real. as nuanced as he is, he’s a villain.
Nikki never killed his cat. What are you smoking? Did you actually watch the movie? Weird statement to make when that never happened. There was no spell on Nikki when the cat was found dead.

You guys noticed he never had a chance wit her because Eaton & Eaton was occasionally sleeping with each other on the low. Remember Eaton was telling Bear he was gonna take Nikki home after work. They was still messing around before she became obsessed

Mid movie, overrated. The actress did give good performance, that's it.
She didn't kill the cat dummy
I took her feeding him the cat because it was something she knew he loved…she acts so infantile and like she doesn’t understand logic or social cues anymore, and only ever focuses on what she thinks would make Bear happy. Similar to the tone deaf memorial to Sandy. Is also why she freaks out and can’t possibly understand why he would have any shroud of doubt in his love for her because in her eyes she’s giving him everything that he’s ever wanted.
Nikki does not kill his cat.
It was disturbing but I honestly think the backrooms is going to be creepier and the lore behind it makes it more interesting

My theory is that the wording in his wish poisoned it: "I wish Nikki loved me more than anyone in the FUCKING world." He cursed his own wish. Wording is everything for wishes. The shopkeeper wished and seemed fine, Ian wished and was ok... until ykno... He literally added a curse to his own wish by cursing during it. Which is where "curse" words derive from and Id assume ancient magic follows ancient rules.
The he should have said, “I wish she’d ❤ me more than ANYTHING!” 😆
nikki doesn't kill the cat
You could argue that Bair will end up in the painful purgatory until Nikki dies since she made the wish. Or maybe the wish broke when Nikki Succubustamante was ended and the Real Nikki took over
They have NO chemistry 😂 He should have gotten with Sam who actually liked him and had chemistry with him but instead he rather take the free will away from someone who wasnt ever interested in him in that way
