After weeks of planning, measuring and second guessing everything… Big Red is finally starting to look like a real campervan. In this episode we start building the overhead cupboards, install insulation and roof lining, run electrical cables through the van, and finally get our fridge delivered so we can start figuring out how the kitchen layout is actually going to work. The only problem? This van is ridiculously small. Every part of this build has turned into a puzzle trying to squeeze a functional camper setup into what might be the world’s smallest 4x4 van. 🎥 New episodes every week as we turn this tiny Daihatsu Hijet into a fully off grid campervan. 4x4 means bumpy roads! Hopefully you think the headroom is enough after your first bumpy road 😂 love the build! ❤️from 🇸🇪
Maybe it would be possible to make the seats a tiny bit lower for more headspace?
That curved cabinet is a work of art! So clever
I think it's a travesty that you are not yet reaching a larger audience. By featuring Frankie you should be on 50K subs by now 😂😂 Great progress. Quality is not the same as speed so we just have to be patient and wait for the end product. Thanks for the update.
I can only say that i love your style and am enjoying the entire process of this tiny beast... i think your both legends for what you achieve and you motivate me with my own bus, might be time for a reno..😂🚍😊
I agree with what Peter said. I'd maybe (if you can) take a test drive before you finish off the over head cabinet and see if you hit your head on a bumpy road. If you do, and you do most of the driving, could you change the height on that one side, make it a bit higher there? But hey, that bent upper cabinet corner - come on!, Perfection!! I mean guys you're rockin' it. What about square cut on the side that is square and do the curved cut at the ends where the van tappers or curves? Looks amazing !!
Great job as always, I’m amazed at the craftsmanship you guys build with and the quality of work is amazing! 👍🏼
The dream team! Awesome work Sasha & Freddie!
So exciting, great job so far, Big Red is looking fantastic, well done 👍
Love the curve on the cabinet. I think you’re right about curves on the cutouts . I would copy that one inside curve you already have in the back and repeat on the other internal corners.
I love this series. Especially because it's about a microvan. Don't yoyu think that the solarpanel is a little bit of an overkill? We are running on a Bluetti AC240P with 200W solar with practical the same amount of appliances...But, keep doing what you are doing because I love how you guys do this!
I appreciate you trying the raked thing with the solar panel, yeah it's weird now that I see it...😂 You could lower the fridge slightly by cutting the floor around it.
NICE but I heard when not fixed that insulation will not stay in place and sink down behind the inner wall!
What brand is that Gas cooktop ? Looks good
This is getting exciting
👍
You are doing such a neat and tidy job, love that❤😀
This is coming along very nicely guys cheers
Loving this camper build. Tremendous work!!!
Very interesting build guys looking good 💪💪
