Van life electrics overhaul and major troubleshooting in my self-built VW T4 campervan. You hit the nail on the head at the end! The issue is a ground split because the heater's positive comes from the power station while the negative returns via the chassis. Those 21V spikes and Error 2 codes happen because the controller sees a voltage difference between two different reference points. If you splice that heater negative wire into the XT60 return leg instead of the chassis, everything will reference the same ground and those glitches should clear right up.

Love the fact you have next to no insulation .........all the van build youtuber's will be having a stroke 😂😂😂😂 but you still probably camp more than 90% of them...
You may find that your diesel heater may play up. I had issues when I wired mine in as it wanted to be grounded to the same place as the positive. Mine didn’t like being grounded to the chassis.
Looks like you have made great progress. I would still be going around putting my hands on everything electric to see if it was hot for a while. Hope the same ground socket sorts the problem👍

If your power station does a reverse charge to your van battery it may be best to connect your diesel heater to your Van battery power stations do not like diesel heaters.
I have my solar panel to leisure battery setup separate from the engine battery etc Then just charge my power station as I need and run my fridge etc , I read that eventually the DC to DC chargers strain the alternator. I think the diesel heaters draw too much on start up.
