Van Builders – Worth Cutting The Van? - Velit 2000U Air Conditioner

Good morning, folks. The van build keeps moving forward and one of the upgrades I really wanted was air conditioning that actually works for life on the road. In this video I install the Velit 2000U built in AC system into my off grid van setup and walk through the entire process from venting and ducting to wiring it into my power system. One of the biggest challenges with this build was finding an air conditioner that did not require roof space. With everything already mounted up top, I needed a solution that could fit inside the van while still keeping the living space comfortable during hot weather. Most importantly, I wanted something that would help keep Ben cool during the summer months when temperatures start climbing. I also show how I fabricated a custom aluminum vent plate, routed the ducting through the van, connected the system to my Comvolt power setup, and tested everything on the road during a trip down to Overland Expo in Flagstaff. So far the system has been working extremely well and it has already made a huge difference while traveling and camping in warmer weather. Thanks for watching and for all the support.
