Holy fμck I absolutely love this. I have a degenerative disease. I'm a cane user, I might (or might not) need a permanent wheelchair in the future, and I ALREADY need one temporarily in the present when it gets worse. I love exploring the outdoors, I ride horses since I was a kid and before I was sick, and I'm still out of the house every chance and into the proverbial jungle every chance I get. Due to the nature of my condition, I usually can _technically_ perform activities you would think only able bodied people could. I'm just under a ginormous amount of pain. I still stomach it because I love doing it so much. The prospect of needing a wheelchair forever hurts me just to think. This kind of thing really gets my hopes up.
