It’s amazing how much tone and framing do; this is set up as a comedy bit but you could VERY easily turn it into a body horror scenario about medical abuse and the vulnerability of surgery

Omg this reminds me of that surgeon from Florida who removed a man’s liver rather than his spleen and the man died. He tried to claim he was sorry and that it traumatized him forever. But when they took a deeper look this wasn’t the first time he had done this. If they had revived his license the first time he did it to another patient, this patient would be alive. The man was in his 70s and it was a routine laparoscopic procedure but insisted there was another problem, one that would kill the man’s if they didn’t let the doc operate. It was a total lie. The doctor was a whack job who enjoyed cutting people up. He would concoct these random diagnosis to have a way into do a surgery. He was finally indicted in 24 and I believe he’s behind bars.
