Now take it back To Apple with the paperwork for your repair, and ask them to reimburse you, because it was in fact the BATTERY

He already had an after market battery in the phone, that’s why it wasn’t the battery. Apple won’t swap batteries if it’s not theirs

Apple tells its employees to not admit to faulty hardware,its better for business to have the customer leave with a new phone rather than apple admitting they had a bad battery.
I work for Apple they tell us to just tell the customer anything to get them to leave. Even if the issue is obvious they want us to tell you it's cause dents and scuffs on the housing is why the phone doesn't turn on. Just take your phone to a 3rd party repair store rather than Apple if you want it fixed

Dude honestly this was decent troubleshooting at best. Its very commonly known to give it a few seconds or minutes after installing battery to power on.

I used to repair phones all the time and they told the police officer directly that his phone could not be fixed. He brought it into my store and I had it back to him in 20 minutes or less. It was actually 10 minutes really but he was surprised and a little upset that they lied directly to his face apple is in direct sales and not repairs and I can prove that because they've been told that they have to allow users the right to repair their own phones and their parts are ungodly and you still need to go into their store to get specific things to work correctly because they won't give you the software required
They just wanted to buy the new phone
