Well. Depending on the screen colors can look very different. Maybe the blue looked different on his screen than it looks in reality. That happens quite a lot with many products.

He probably forgot that screens represent color as it appears in the scale of his screen. I see a lot of people make digital art and then get confused with how the print out looks.
