I've always been told never on a side wall apparently because it flexes too much but maybe that's just for a patch but I have a hunch that even a plug will fail on the sidewall

This is not for side wall tire repair due to side wall flexing and lower strength than the tread. This is unsafe, maybe for emergency short slow ride.

No reputable tyre shop would repair a sidewall puncture. Replace the tyre every time

20 years in the automotive industry.. never once witnessed someone stupid enough to plug or patch a side wall 🙈

タイヤの側面は修理しないで交換する方が安全ですよ。 タイヤで修理をして使うのなら接地する部分のみ修理して使い、側面に穴等が開いたら交換修理をすべきです。
Side plugs is OK if you want to storage the wheel, but you can't use in the road anymore...😊
