Of course. Before 2005, the game wasn’t tactical, but very physical. You didn’t see many skills, advanced tactics, or anything like that. But then our golden generation came along and brought flair, and revolutionised the game. Since maybe 2021, when our GOATs started slowing down and leaving their primes, it became rare for things like them. That’s why people are making huge deals about players like Karl, Yamal, Cherki and Olise: Players haven’t dribbled because of tactics, and we are entering the next era. These are our future Van Dijks, Messi’s, Ronaldo’s, Neymar’s, Modrics, you name it. Just make the most of their youth because before you know it, Yamal will be playing his last WC. People went on about how sad it was when Cantona, Figo, Roberto Carlos, and those legends started to slow down. You can’t enter a sport and the next day you’re a legend; no, you have to build yourself. Your reputation. We are in that phase of construction. Every great player is different because they are taking risks, bringing back what we had in Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar, etc. Think about that…
