Sabres fan here, congratulations Montreal, you had better goaltending and that was the difference. I believe the cup deserves to be back in Canada, after being in cities that know nothing about the game, Vegas, Tampa, and Florida. Raleigh is another town that loves college sports and most of the city could care less about hockey. So I wish you good luck and beat the Hurricances.

They bend but dont break. But watching them BEND in the 2nd period was hard to watch. 😊

I think this is what will make the Habs so dangerous in the coming decade. The young guys already have the poise and temperament of a veteran team and have the confidence of a team that has seen it all.

Montreal played calm. They played smooth with their backs against the wall. Better + young team + they routed carolina all year in the regular season...Who knows...I think they didnt see this side of east conference coming!! Phily and Ottawa where not on the checklist and game seven Tampa + Buffalo back 2 back...It might blow up this next series..!

thats a smart shot. Newhook waited for the d mans skates to forma screen shot . it gives the goalie a fraction of a second less time to see it againt the skates. WAY TO GO NEWIE!!!!!

At times you come to hate the other team after a series. Cheap shots, agitators, rats, etc.. None of this applies to Buffalo. Very good team. Only respect for them. Buffalo supporters should be proud of their team.

I never thought that in my lifetime I'd be pulling for the Habs... but here we are. I jumped off the couch when that OT goal went in. They made a valid point about how top lines can nullify each other in the playoffs. My late father maintained that come playoff time, the teams with the best 2nd and 3rd lines stand the best chance of going deep.
