I don’t think Stockholm syndrome applies in this case. In Stockholm, it was a random robbery and hostage situation that lasted for some days; in the end, the hostages were brainwashed into believing that the captor was a saint. In this case, a housemaid took advantage of an opportunity to take revenge on her former boss who falsely accused her of theft after he lost his memories during an accident by making him live the life of the less privileged for some months. In the process, they fell in love, he learned to treat people with respect, and was able to differentiate love from performance. They may look similar but are completely different. The maid technically lied but did not hold him against his will, he stayed with her because he believed her lies. Nice storyline, having money does not excuse treating others as less.
