"Damn. Can't talk shit about this guy."
Him: *"Spartans"* Them: *"Kratos?"*
This entire show is a series of scenes whose message is "look how tough this actor can look."
He served with the Master Chief?!?!
I feel like as soon as he said “Spartans”, everyone there collectively shit their pants
Jack reacher: spartans. Others: holy fuck the only survivor.
Mountain Division means you're definitely going to face combat. Edit: Woah, 5k+ likes? Why? How? Thank you!
For those who don’t know Spartans is the most deployed unit in the US army and is if not the first among the first units in the front. They basically are the ones that pave the way for all ground units.
Hits home for me... 10th Mountain here.... RIP my brothers.
For those who don't know, 3rd brigade, 10th mountain division, saw some of the worst fighting and highest casualtiy ratings in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Their specialized training and equipment meant that they were called upon a lot to spearhead pushes into rugged mountainous terrain and secure supply lines through said terrain. That severely limits your mobility and the routes you have access to, making your movements predictable and vulnerable to ambushes and IEDs, which the 10th mountain had to deal with a lot of. They were also saddled with a ridiculous work load, having been deployed more than any other division in the entire U.S. military since 2001, over 30 seperate deployments. Being attached to them as a combat engineer means that he definitely would have his hands full clearing routes of IEDs and other unexploded ordinance before the infantry moved through in force, creating forward operating bases, finding alternative routes through damaged and flooded mountain passes, and even teaching the local military how to build and protect security checkpoints and important infrastructure, as well as being responsible for any fortifications required for the force he was attached to, and having the same expectations as an infantryman during any sort of actual combat scenarios. In short: Those guys were called "Spartans" for a reason. Each and every one of them took their motto "With your shield, or on it." personally
Where'd you deploy? "Fort Benning!" Yeah, that checks out
Who knew half way through this would become a fkn alien robot movie
"Spartans." *in that very moment everyone who heard that shit themselves.*
The way he said that is awesome, he knows he's a force to be reckoned with!
Shaving waiver
Every American wet dream, being so cool in the military and have every men gooning over them cuz he's a Legend for some reason.
Idc what anyone says, this movie is amazing. Especially if youre blasted out of your mind so much you dont remember what species you are. 12/10 would recommend
Jack Reacher Round 2
Best part about combat engineers is none aside from combat engineers knows what they do.
I was Air Force, 712th ASOS out of Fort Hood, but I was attached to the 10th Mountain Division right after 9/11. We were deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan, and my job was to maintain the comms so that our Radio Operators could call in CAS in support of the 10th. That deployment definitely gave me some memories I'll never forget.
