You've reached the end
As someone whose dad was absent and whose dad came back in my life when i was 25, that "is it cool if we hug" means the world. Acknowledges that he has no claim or right over her in any way just because he gave her life. He let her choose wether it was okay or not instead of just throwing her into a hug.
Ethan Hawke is so underrated as an actor.
The fact that he didn't shy her away, that the moment he knew of her existence, she became a part of his...
The name of this show is *_Reservation Dogs (2021-23)._*
My dad struggled with severe depression my entire childhood and I never felt that close to him. Then when I was 21 my mom kicked me out because I had dropped out of college due to poor mental health and she told me if I wasn't going to school I wasn't allowed to live with her. My dad took me in, helped me get treatment for my eating disorder** and panic disorder. 10 years later and I just graduated with my masters degree and am thriving. I couldn't have done it without him Edit: Please no more comments about my mom. It's a complicated situation and I know everyone means well but nothing she did benefitted me and I don't believe in forgive and forget when someone has continued to make choices which directly negatively impact me.
My father never believed I was his ...so no we never met...but in my early twenties I met my two brothers and it was like looking in a mirror ...im sorry to say we never kept close to each other but we had those few days and at least I know we are siblings ❤
The two younger ladies welcoming the older sister was a nice touch.
My dad left on Christmas Eve the year me and my twin were born. Only one brother on his side cared to know about our birth and our existence and kept in touch sporadically via random phone calls. One day he showed up the “people you might now” section of Facebook and I added him. Within 24 hours of him approving the request I had so many family members from that side adding me back. And while we don’t talk often and we live states away from each other it did heal something in me to see that I do have family out there I have never known that cares enough to see how I’m doing.
Ain't Nothing Like A Big Sista
My daughter had been looking for her dad for 40 years. We did a DNA test. Positive. We got together last. I found out, I also have a granddaughter and great granddaughter!
This movie can heal so many souls
Elora Danon? Isn't that the name from willow?
Such a great show, reservation dogs, and a really nice episode. Loved seeing her siblings immediately accept her.
The series 'Reservation Dogs' made a genuine effort to employ as many first nation workers as possible. They wanted authenticity from top to bottom. If you need a white actor for a specific role, I feel like you can't do too much better than Ethan Hawke. If you haven't watched this series, suck less.
He named her after the baby from Willow! Thats amazing 🤩
I’m the big sister. Didn’t know my dad and believed he didn’t want me, despite him sending gifts to me on my birthday. When I turned 11 I thought the man was a stranger and trying to kidnap me by luring me with my favorite anime magazine. Followed my friends and I to the counter with his phone in his ear, talking to someone. Then he said, “come here, your mom wants to talk to you.” When mom said “say hi to your dad”, i didn’t know how to react until he asked for a hug. First hug i ever got from him and there were more and more meetups after that. Now my siblings hang out with me and my cousins(who i treated as my siblings) and we go out for dates a lot.🥹stepmom calls me her daughter, too, so that’s awesome. I have a bonus mom AND a bonus dad
I will never understand people who abandon family to play house with a new one
I think sometimes it takes people a long time to mature and realize how important just being there really is
My dad was gone till I was 15 and was like a stranger to me. I hid by my mom and all. The guy worked to provide but when ever he came home I was sick in hospital. 18 yrs old I started taking care of him. 11 years later we are better and closer. I’m just quiet to this day
Mine denied both my brothers and my existence up until the day he died from what I’m told . That to me was his loss and something that I’ve never truly dwelt on . You can’t miss what you’ve never had .
