Since she’s an elf, firebolt is a Wizard spell and uses intelligence. Which I don’t think she has a lot of in the beginning.

This is why I love the feat that gives you a free cantrip. Shart gets an eldritch blast that scales off wisdom and finally doesn't miss.

Remember folks: fire bolt is not a cleric cantrip! Shart gets fire bolt from being a high elf, meaning she uses her int modifier for it rather than wisdom, which shart has very little of. Instead, I recommend grabbing eldritch blast from the magic initiate feat since it should allow you to cast it (which is better than fire bolt) using your wisdom instead of int.
