It has been quite some time since I've dipped my toes into the masterpiece that is Baldur's Gate 3, and so to make up for that, I'm going to try to come at the game in a completely new and different way. I'm going to try to beat BG3 as a completely normal, average, not-special and reasonable guy. I'm not an adventurer, a seasoned wizard, some sort of legendary hero of times passed, I am simply Bramble. You could spin the Ketheric fight as "normal people have a desire to live and will fight for it" so even though your odds of beating the Chosen are close to zero, you might as well TRY to fight to stay alive as opposed to simply letting Gale nuke all of you right then and there.

I think you can't _beat_ BG3 as a normal dude. Since when all is said and done, you'll no longer be just some guy. You'll be a hero, no matter how you slice it. A truly legendary figure, surrounded by equally legendary peers. Honestly, I think that's a rather nice message to get out of this video. Even Bramble, humble farmer as he was, could and *did* rise to the occasion. He may have started as a normal person, as all of us do. But by the end, after fear and effort, after all the troubles and danger, all the confusion and camaraderie, he had _become_ a hero. And that potential was always there. Godspeed, Bramble.

16:23 also in the context of DnD the Underdark is like, _mega_ scary. As much as settlements and cities exist it is a very hostile place with equally hostile flora, fauna, and fungi. Even the hook horrors and the bulette you see in act 1 are peanuts compared to some other monsters that roam it lol

tbf, I didnt realize Halsin was the bear on my first playthrough. I definitely only had the thought process "Surely this bear is gonna FUCK these guys up if I set him free cuz theyve definitely been mean to him, so I'll do that so I can steal all their stuff."
A commoner wouldn't go into the Underdark for multiple reasons. First and the most important is the fact that there are a lot of rumors in Faerun about it. Drow slavers, giant worms, ancient horrors. Yeah, no commoner goes into the Underdark.
i like how bramble became more and more heroic over the course of the video and how natural it seemed
There is one massive benefit to an ordinary person’s attempt to survive a BG3 scenario: the protagonist had Jergel on their side. The help of Withers really can’t be undersold.
I'd have thought a regular guy would do the opposite in regards to Gale and Astarion. At least talking to the guy on his own near the crash site (where people have survived so he could be helpful), and staying away from the weird malfunctioning magic portal (he's just a regular farmer, that thing could blow up in his face).

I like that you don't play with minmaxing uber builds and strategies and instead do a narrative experience. We don't even know your difficulty level and it doesn't matter. Also, I'd be dead on the Nautiloid if it were me. Immediately.
Oh, so when Astarion calls for help he's suspicious, but when a really weird purple glyph crackles angrily at you it's an invitation to touch. I see how it is EDIT: I see people are sort of starting to fight in the replies so I want to make it clear that this is supposed to be read as a joke and I very much enjoyed the video 😅

here's the problem, you say "a normal person wouldn't help a bear" but it's not a normal *earth* person, it's a normal Faerunian, and i'm pretty sure at school they are taught druids can shapeshift. If he knows about Wyll, he knows about Jaheira, a famous druid, who famously can shapeshift, it's that simple.

Technically speaking. Fighter is the commoner class. As you get better at fighting if you do it a ton... But rogue is another commoner class if life has sucked
