I find this especially funny because if you play as Gale, she asked you when you're going to settle down with someone. She's such a perfect representation of a mom figure. Tara: So when are you getting a partner Tav: Hello Tara: No, a different one.
but then at the reunion party, if you're married to Gale and talk to her she's all "oh hello darling, how wonderful to see you! 🥰 yes let's have tea again sometime, that would be lovely! ❤️❤️❤️" so she does eventually come around! 😂

Gale mentions Tara in Act 1 calling her his cat, HIS Tressym and then you get to this scene in Act 3 and it gives you 2 choices....either you say something about her being his cat(which he vehemently denies) or you tell him angrily that he needs to tell her to stop eating pigeons. There is no room for a nice beginning in the dialog at all. So "Hiss" it is! lol

After you try taking the letters without speaking to her, after she casts FIREBALL on you, Gale just says, “I’m sure she had her reasons.” ☄️😆 I generally love Tara, but I was doing a god Gale run at the time, and getting that kind of treatment played right into my Tav’s feelings about ascending with Gale.
