The most unhinged ending of Dark Urge - Baldur's Gate 3

i tell you people how this will end. tav attacks one of the people and withers get pissed for ruining his party and sends you to Brazil or something.

You get this ending by becoming Bhaal's chosen, but then betray him by ending the Netherbrain instead of claiming it for him. If you do that they Bhaal basically takes you over and you become a mad dog for him.

The voice actress for the narrator did such an amazing job not just here but throughout the game, honestly such a crucial part of the game and story and she nailed it.

This is one of my favorite endings for durge. You saved your friends, saved an incredible amount of people from turning into illithids, but in the end, no one will save you from the wrath of your god, no one will save you from your madness.

I ACCIDENTALLY GOT THIS, I don't know if I was more disgusted or outraged (it was incredible though), but now I'm replaying 'cause I want a happy end with Mintara.

Withers is literally jergal. You’re not getting far

Imagine seeing your former ally and (likely) friend stumble into camp and try to attack everyone like a feral animal. That's the horror of this ending. As everyone points out, a lvl 12 Durge is going to be trounced by their companions + Withers, even if Durge catches them unaware. The tragedy comes from your friends realizing that you're just a Bhaalspawn now. Feral, unable to reason or feel anything other than what Bhaal permits. Like ceremorphosis, there is no cure for that, and they know you won't have an afterlife after they kill you. You've effectively been erased.

As dark and tragic as this is, I’m glad Larian added more evil endings in Patch 7; the game was in dire need of them.

I know "canon" Dark Urge is a dragonborn but honestly it's so much more tragic to me when they're humanoid looking. The maddened savagery just doesn't hit as hard on an animalistic looking creature as it does on a human

It sucks. The Dark Urge was a sophisticated and controlled Bhaalspawn even though they were super disturbed. Now left as a puppet of Bhaal, maybe even worse than Orin.

What's this ending? Is it what happens if you accept Bhaal in the temple but defy him on top of the Netherbrain and destroy it instead of dominating it and doing the cool ending where everyone has daggers grow out of their chest?

I feel like this scene would be more intimidating if it wasn’t for the perfectly done hair and makeup on your character
