I put the shackle into quick slots. I started using them everywhere especially in every legacy dungeon. It is amazing how much more content you get out of the game because of this item

I played Elden Ring more than 1.200 hours, but didn't know about the 4th use of the shackles. I crushed these pots with arrows so far. I just love this game so damn much ❤

You can also use them to lure certain enemies and set them up for a sneak attack. But it doesn't work on every enemy. Only the ones programmed to investigate noises.

Or mohgs. Also works on traps. Because it's considered an action like rolling

Let me tell you, with literal thousands of hours of invasions between all the From Software Souls games, the shackles have been one of the most useful unintended tools ever. I don't know why, but hosts and phantoms love standing in front of the deadly traps as they wait for you to show up. If you see them waiting, go back a bit so they won't see the aura of you using the shackle, and you'll almost always force one of them to drink a flask, if they don't die outright because nobody levels their vigor in this game.

The bloodborne music made me wonder if you were going to bring up that the music box in bloodborne acts very similarly. Most useful for ringing bells in the chalice dungeons to divert enemy pathing.

So the diea behind it is that all of these traps and stuff get activated by even the tiniest amount of action and shackles sent of that action across a wide area. This was created so that players won't get frustrated during the boss battle if there was a certain range on the shackle
