Why AIOs Need to Be Replaced

I simply won't buy anything that is "maintenance free". It is a way to force the customer to buy a new product once it is worn out or broken, instead of allowing the customer to service and repair the old one.

I want a AIO that is repairable, hot swap pump if it dies, ez disconnect on rad if it needs replaced, tubes, etc, drain and fill plug… having a universal hot swap for pump motor on any AIO would be a dream.

Installing plumbing system into a PC might actually be a good idea. Imagine you can just flush the thing and temperature goes down by 20 degree.

I must now set up custom water cooling with lead pipes in my PC

I had a pump fail on me with corsair in their AIOs its the only one though it lasted 3 years.

And big ass air cooler is still going

Also a custom cooling loop when done well is kind of like your House plumbing

Can't relate, Air cooling still my preference to this day

I got my pc in December of 2022 with an AIO cooler and had ZERO issues so far :3

Air coolers last for over 30 years

Isn't it more like cars' radiators, where you have to replace some parts (like the water pump or some hoses) and the liquid coolant every 10 years or 300'000 miles?
