You've reached the end
Holy shitballs, I'm fucked.
Believe me as someone who lives right next to it... That thing ain't ever going up XD... Estimated to be finished after around 10 years. Picked the one spot in the NATION most likely to break it down before it even goes partway up. Hell, half our community cuts down stop signs if the city puts one on a road we dont wanna stop on... There were protests with a few thousand people. That place won't go up and if they really tried that won't be a great day for anyone building it...
"2,000 Walmarts" anything but the metric system 🥀
americans have lost their teeth for allowing that to happen
They'll use anything but nuclear power. 50%? In this day and age?
It's being built in Promontory UT. North side of the Great Salt Lake. The protests are about water usage and power usage which the plant would use over 2x what the entire state uses based on estimations. This is supposed to be the biggest data center built and its never gonna go up... Picked the one spot where "Mr Wonderful" been fuckin around and bout to find out XD.
Tell me you don’t understand what makes explosives so dangerous without just saying it lmao. The energy discharge of nuclear explosives is impressive because that energy is released nearly instantaneously. Releasing said energy over hours does nothing. If you spread the impact force of a punch over minutes it’s now a gradual push not a punch. The rate at which energy is delivered is MASSIVELY important to its destructive capability.
it took me a second to relize they weren't talking about walmarts releasing the same heat as 23 atomic bombs daily
Is there any way we can utilize the waste heat?
Utah already is struggling with water we don't need an AI data center now.
I'm sure these won't do anything weird to the environment. Anyways it was nice knowing you guys
they’re building a damn Iterator
how bout we just raid the center
Can we just have a normal apocalypse please
This a very strange way to judge power consumption. Im sure 2000 walmarts also consume an ungodly amount of energy.
Fake ass thermal estimations, literally not possible
When traveling back to 1969 takes less energy than a single data center
and people say data centers don’t need water to cool
That’s enough to send 14 deloreans back to the future
We gotta get the thermonuclear guy on this.
