FIFA's council is voting on a rule that would make every senior club keep at least one homegrown player under 21 on the pitch at all times. If it passes, the gap between Barcelona and Real Madrid's youth setups could be a real issue. This season, Barcelona gave 65 starts to homegrown players under 21. Real Madrid gave just 28. And that's because Madrid have sold or loaned out their La Fábrica kids instead of actually building around them. La Masia pretty much works the opposite way. If Madrid had kept more of their young players, looking at some of the top talent they've developed, we'd probably be talking about La Fábrica the same way we talk about La Masia. But now they might have no choice other than changing their approach. #soccer #football #RealMadrid #Barcelona #LaLiga

This seems like a terrible idea imagine someone like arsenal for example having to play a kid in the champions league final for the sake of it and not because hes a generational talent And one of the main reason why talents die of early is become they are thrown into the deep end rather than being grown into it
Who even benefits from this. So silly
So stupid. FIFA is such a joke
Unemployment brought me here in 1 mins
This rule is stupid imagine your in a very important game and you have to play a homegrown under 21 player and they get injured and then you don’t have anyone to sub them out for

One of the main reasons people from different countries follow these leagues and teams is because of their presentation and entertainment We all want the best players against the best players Imagine forcing teams to play a dude out of nowhere in a big match
My hot take is this should only apply to countries where they need to grow their players. The Big 5 don’t need to do this. But leagues like the Saudi Pro League and Korea’s K League should though.
Terrible idea for me personally the rule should be if the player was at the club before u21 then that player is eligible to stay at the club and take over this rule Otherwise we are going to see the value of a player go from £50m to £10m just because he turned 22
They would have to let go of Perez first
Employement brought me here
Neat kit 👌
Who plays, should be who is good enough to play.
Bruh y'all should calm down
if they are limited to 3 non eu players why does madrid have militao rodrygo vini mastantuano and nico paz when he gkmes back from loan
They need to do more subs and more rests and other things… not this
Perez is going to think Barca had something to do with this 😂
I mean If It wil go trough, It wil be an amazing idea for sure. I mean It gives changes to a lot of talents at the big clubs in europe
This could be interesting
Fifa really is Shambles now
