I am right there with you! We are the same age and feel like it’s more common for women of our age group to learn this later in life. My Mom used to say to us when we would be going to someone’s house, “Sit there, look pretty, and be quiet.” She also gave me advice after my ex-husband had cheated on me a dozen times, “Dye your hair blonde, curl your hair, go to the gym…”, and she would preface it by saying, “I am not saying it’s your fault, just get his attention.” Well, did take her advice and it worked for maybe 2 months. I have learned now to say “No” & to be true to myself because I deserve it.

I live in Australia on the side of a mountain in bush land. Internet was challenging already then came COVID and the need to be able to work from home for a while. A colleague suggested Starlink and honestly it is brilliant. And I will take it and use it on every house I have in the future. If you are in any sort of remote area as long as you can see the sky it works magically.

Top tip paint choices of room colour from tester pots on to a4 paper on stick on wall. rather that painting tester pots right onto wall.

Just sat down to watch this vlog, cutting in is my pet hate so at 45 years of age I have only just painted the ceiling same colour as the walls, I wasn't expecting to like it but love it. Give it a go honestly x

I know you say that you are going to be redoing the kitchen, but I think it's super cute. I love the spindles on the edges and especially the glass door cabinet. IDK I feel like it might just be cool to just replace the fronts of the few that are missing. It'll also save money.
