Between the shifts in the Algorithm, influx of short form content, saturation of food content, A.I., and a host of other reasons, it’s been harder and harder to gain traction on YouTube, and as a result make a living from it. This is usually why online content creators end up burning the candle at both ends, posting on YouTube and a Blog, doing Brand Content, Writing Books and everything in between to cobble together an income to be able to continue doing what we love. And sometimes doing so many things at the same time, means feeling like you’re not doing any of them very successfully. For this reason, I’ve made the hard decision to step away from YouTube and put all my focus on Substack. https://entertainingwithbeth.substack.com/ What Will This Look Like? If You’re a Free Subscriber to My Substack Newsletter: 1.) You will continue to get my free Newsletters. 2.) Serving up recipes and videos from my recipe archive (there are over 400 recipes and videos!) so plenty to keep you well fed. 3.) The recipes will link to my videos on YouTube and the recipes on my blog. I understand that paid subscriptions are not for everyone, and if you remain a free subscriber you will not hurt my feelings :) It seems like there are so many paid subscriptions these days, we can’t join them all. For Paid Subscribers: ($7.00 a month) 1.) You will get all my NEW videos and recipes (exclusive to Substack) 2.) Vlogs from France, Travel Videos etc (exclusive to Substack) 3.) An Ad-Free environment in one place! The video will be embedded into the email, in the Substack player. 4.) You will also get the recipe card embedded in the email (no bouncing off my blog) 5.) As well as a downloadable PDF of the recipe in case you want to print it out. 6.) The other thing I’m hoping (with enough paid subscribers) is to be able to bring back the Menu Videos! 7.) Substack makes it easy to also include all the recipes, game plan, shopping lists and more in a downloadable format which I would love to include as a companion to the video. A BIG heartfelt thanks to everyone for all the support and words of encouragement over all these many years as my “Creator Journey” has taken many twists and turns in the road. As much as the food content was great, I loved your travel shares and home decor posts. If you shared more of those like you used to, your views might increase. Your party planning, shopping trips, vintage finds and how you use them have always been my favorite posts!!!

I think we are saturated of recipes, I personally loved you entertaining content, how to manage food prep when hosting, those were my fave, I learned a lot.

I’m a proud member of the old gang (I even have all the items from your subscription box!) and I’m sad to see what’s happening on YouTube. I think you’re right - YouTube pushes new users and small creators and I have to dig deep to even find the creators I’ve been following for years 😮 Incredibly annoying! Ad free videos? Yeah well I already have that here on yt, with yt premium. I love your vlogs but I'm not very keen on yet another subscription fee and another site to visit especially just for one thing. I like having everything here "under the same roof".
