I'm excited for new Necromunda not because I play Necromunda... but because more opportunities to kitbash those lovely Necromunda models.
Necromunda is the most narrative game GW makes for sure. I imagine these new Goliath and Escher figures aren't replacements but just supplemental. Van Saar gang already got theirs with the Hive Secundus box, we've just been waiting for more gangs to get theirs. Plus it looks like they're in the process of transitioning to full plastic for new releases.

Necromunda is GWs best game. The rules are a bit conveluted especially when you add in all the gang specific extras. But once you get the hang of it, my word it's fun to play.

Necromunda could use a proper starter box, and that’s all. No changes to rules is needed, but updating some of the older models (that are now 9 years ols) is a nice surprise. If they make a refreshed version of the rules boring then, well, we have shitload of books and additional rules to go over and over again, there’s more content in that game to keep playing for years and years to come anyway.
Do yourself a favour, Val..... Get a small Necromunda gang up and running, it really is a great game ❤️ As far as a new rule set/version of Necromunda being "bland" goes...... I reckon most players wouldn't have an issue with just playing the current version of the game (plenty of bonkers stuff that you can get up to in it 👌).
