He had over 70% win record at Real Madrid... he didn't "Fail" there, it's not a blot on his reputation...the egos of the players got him sacked. He can hold his head high with regards to his Real Madrid stint.

3 centre backs won us the champions league in 2021 with Tuchel and the last time we won the premier league with Conte in 2017. Systems arent important. World class managers are 🙏

The heart of the problem at Chelsea are the sporting directors Winstanley and Stewart. Will they start playing their usual politcal games with Xabi after a few months and undermine him?

This guy won the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen!!! Are you kidding me he is a fantastic coach! He backs himself to turn around Chelsea! Perfect opportunity for him!

At Madrid he wasn't wanted by Perez, the egos of the players played a part. Every time Alonso did something that the players didn't like they run to Perez.

The fact that they say fa cup final winners man city but big news is Alonso…. Shows you how far the cups have fallen in the interest pecking order. The charm has faded a little bit and it’s more about money, transfers etc. not saying it’s a bad thing even I as a chelsea fan was gutted at the fa cup defeat but then suddenly elated with the news. 10 years ago a final defeat would leave me upset for days

We last won the league playing 3 at the back, last won the UCL with 3 at the back. Bring it.

Rosenuor lost the dressing room after the psg 1st leg. the players were playign for him before that. i think the psg game made them lose faith cos they wouldve seen how both maresca approached that game, prepared for it and adapted during it, and how rosenior did. and even as a fan it was clear to see, Meresca is levels above Rosenior, im sorry to say, but Maresca's ceiling as a manager is right up there. Can easily be called an elite manager in the future 100%

3 at the back "negative" Leverkusen played some of the best football in Europe when they stomped to the league, out scoring everyone in Germany with an average of around 3 goals a game!!! Most clubs in the league now play a version of 3 at the back with wingbacks inverting into the middle (See Pep) or providing width with an enforcer sitting just in front of them. And a 70% win rate wasn't a failure, he was 1 point of the lead when he left, theyre now 15 points of the lead and the dressing room has disentegrated into the worst mess I have ever seen at a football club, fighting, hospital trips, cliques. The players at Madrid are an utter disgrace. I appreciate some of this is banter, but quite a bit of disrespect thrown in by those two.

Look Chelsea's model will be the same Blue Co's model need a yes man Tuchel demanded experienced players to bolster the side and they refused...Potter and Rosenior were grateful to be in the position therefore easier to control and appease the hierarchy and there demands...Maresca was also happy for the opportunity but demanded more and again left...Unless Blue Co analyse the model and look at things and have decided a yes man with less experience might appease them but won't get the players respect is not the way forward...They've listened to Alonso's demands and have now accepted what he wants going forward yes they'll be give and take but I think Alonso will trade some of the younger players cash in and bring in experience and look to blend the side...Time will tell if he is going to go beyond a couple of seasons and his side he builds will reflect that or lack of it will show what is likely to happen...I thought Pochetino would transform a younger Chelsea side as he had premier league experience with Southampton and Spurs but yet again he left as he wasn't happy where they wanted him to go so I am not sure Alonso will break they cycle unless they back him properly as Pochetino had that experience with Tottenham but was always hampered with the players or lack of players he was able to bring in and promoted the youth...I think Xabi is a good manager that will get better as those disgrace of Real Madrid players threw him under the bus but only time will tell if they really back him as I wouldn't put it past these players to try get him piledrived the way those Real Madrid players did and throw there toys out of the pram ⚽️
